| Mission |
The Delegation of the European Commission to Azerbaijan was opened in the centre of Baku in February 2008. Today, it is one of over 140 Delegations around the world. The Delegation moved to its current location in Landmark III Business Center, Nizami Street in October 2008 and has been renamed Delegation of the European Union in December 2009. It officially represents the European Union in Azerbaijan since then. Originally composed of staff from the European Commission only, it includes since December 2010 personnel from the European Union External Action Service. The EU Delegation has the status of a diplomatic mission since January 2008. |
