For over 15 years, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has provided over $284 million of aid, helping Azerbaijan to make the best use of its energy resources and improve the lives of its people. Over the years, USAID has joined with others in offering humanitarian assistance to save lives and alleviate suffering because of conflicts and disasters in Azerbaijan communities. On behalf of the American people, today?s USAID portfolio focuses on programs designed to offer the people of Azerbaijan just governance and democracy; economic growth and prosperity; and improved health care, especially for mothers and children.
