Caucasus Research Resource Center (CRRC) (Active)

Mission

The Caucasus Research Resource Centers (CRRC) is a program of the Eurasia Foundation funded by the Carnegie Corporation of New York. The program aims to increase the accessibility of high-quality research resources, to strengthen capacity and to increase the dialogue and collaboration between social science researchers and policy practitioners. Direct and indirect beneficiaries include social science researchers, faculty from academic institutions, policy practitioners, and other professionals from non-governmental, private and public sectors. Primary Activities (1) Social Science and Public Policy Training: CRRC organizes training courses, seminars, workshops and lectures on a variety of social science and public policy topics with particular emphasis on methodological component, attracting both local and foreign experts as speakers or trainers, locally and regionally. (2) Fellowship Program: CRRC supports, both organizationally and financially, outstanding local scholars interested in pursuing original policy-oriented research. (3) CRRC Data Initiative ? a comprehensive annual regional survey on household economic behavior and social attitudes conducted simultaneously in Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. The data is available for use by local and foreign social science and policy research communities interested in the South Caucasus. Access to Resources CRRC Library provides open access to the collection of Azerbaijani, English and Russian language printed materials in social sciences?textbooks, references materials, periodical publications etc. The CRRC IT lab provides free access to major on-line journals in social sciences, on-line databases, and international data sources. The IT labs are free of charge and open to researchers, practitioners, and students for research purposes.
